Internet Service Providers (ISPs) supply you with an email address when you open account with them. However this is usually of a form that ties you to the particular ISP - so for example, your @btinternet.com or @virgin.net email address will cease to function if you decide to move from them to another supplier. Then you run the risk of losing touch with your friends or business contacts.

A Top Value Telecoms permanent email address solves this problem. Once allocated to you it will never change regardless of the ISP you use. You can either have it forward your email to your ISP-specific address (and redirect it if you change ISPs) or you can use it as a fully-fledged mailbox in its own right.

For as long as you retain an account with Top Value Telecoms/Heart Internet, you get 5 permanent email addresses free of charge. If you move to another ISP you can retain the use of each email address for an annual payment of £10.00 plus VAT (currently 17.5%). Even if you decide not to change to Top Value Telecoms for your broadband connection, you can still obtain a permanent email address for the same price.

Your permanent email address(es) will by default be of the format firstname.lastname@ripcoms.net. Other formats are available.

Please note that if you have a domain registered in your name then you will not need a separate permanent email address. Your email address me@mydomain.co.uk can stay the same for as long as you retain the domain.
